Property Damage - Someone spray-painted "U DA HOE" on the wall of a home.
Coon Rapids
Neighbor Dispute - A woman reported that her neighbor left a message on her answering machine threatening her dogs. The neighbor was advised to call the police if the woman's dogs go in her flower garden again and not to leave any more threatening messages.
Disturbing the Peace - Someone threw eggs and poured chocolate syrup on a vehicle.
Property Damage - Police received a report that someone lit a bag of dog feces on fire on the front steps of his home. The fire went out on its own. Someone knocked on the door and rang the doorbell, but the homeowner did not see anyone.
Fridley
Theft - Police were called because two men were stealing food donations that people had hung on their mailboxes.

Terroristic Threats - A woman reported to police that an unknown man has called her a few times talking about her buttocks. She does not recognize the man's voice or the number calling her. An officer called the man's number and left a message.

Disorderly Conduct - A man called police to report that some kids had lit a bag of dog feces on fire and threw it at his house. Police were unable to locate the suspects.

Property Damage - Someone threw tomatoes and eggs at a home.

Disturbing the Peace - Someone sprayed silly string on a woman's vehicle while she was in school. There appeared to be no damage.
Property Damage - A woman from a home called police because she wanted her 14-year old daughter to be charged with damage to property after smashing a table in the home. The daughter became upset with the mother because she would not drive her to the Rosedale mall. The girl started yelling and threw an end table down the stairs, putting a hole in the closet door and chipping a piece of the tile flooring.

Assault - Police were called to a home about an assault. Roommates were fighting over moldy food and ownership of a car.

Disturbing the Peace - Police received a call about a male walking around howling and yelling. When police arrived, the suspect took off running but stopped after instructed to do so. The 23-year-old man had a portable breath test reading of 0.254 percent. He was driven home and his father said he would take care of him.
Coon Rapids
Littering - While on patrol, an officer observed a toilet in the driveway of a home.
Driving Under the Influence - Police were called to White Castle because a man was passed out in his truck in the drive-through. The officer found the man with his head down sleeping. He failed five sobriety tests, but passed the breath test with a 0.00 percent alcohol content reading. When asked if he was under the influence of any drugs, he said he had taken two over-the-counter sleep-aid pills. He was arrested.

Disorderly Conduct - Employees of Classic Bowl reported a fight inside the business. A woman who was pushing others in the parking lot was temporarily detained, along with another woman who was also drunk and causing problems. Police determined the argument was between sisters who were fighting over the raising of children.
Fridley
Disturbing the Peace - An elderly woman called police to report a noise complain. She said her upstairs neighbors are having sex all the time and they make too much noise while walking above her. She was advised to talk to the building management.
Oak Grove
Vandalism - Someone vandalized a home by throwing toilet paper and eggs, spray-painting and putting feces on the front door.
St. Anthony
Theft - A woman called police to report a theft occurred a year ago at Village Pub. She said her purse was stolen and it contained money, her driver's license, Social Security card and debit card. She immediately cancelled her debit card but did not report the theft at the time. She was advised when she went to file her taxes this year, that someone had already filed a return in her name.

Disorderly Conduct - An officer observed a man urinating next to a vehicle along the fence. He was arrested and cited for disorderly conduct.
Centerville
Juvenile Use of Tobacco - A 17-year old boy was caught smoking a cigarette. He was issued a citation and transported home to his mother.
Coon Rapids
Disorderly Conduct - Someone threw vomit on the garage door of a home.
Check Welfare - Police received a report of a person walking down the railroad tracks and waving his arms, singing and acting strange. The male suspect was located and said he was just blowing off steam because of a family argument. He also said he was practicing his singing. The person seemed fine and did not appear to be a threat to himself or others.

Suspicious Activity - The police were dispatched regarding two men dumping something wrapped in a white sheet. The officers found a dead pit bull wrapped in the sheet.

Property Damage - Gang graffiti was found on a fence.

Property Damage - Someone threw eggs at a home. Silly string and toilet paper were also put on the house and yard.
Coon Rapids
Drunken Driving - Police observed a man in an electric wheelchair driving erratically in the middle of the road. He was pulled over and smelled of alcohol. The reading on his personal breath test was 0.272 percent. He was arrested and the wheelchair was towed.
Miscellaneous - A juvenile boy called police because his mother took his car away. He was upset and wanted his mother investigated for tax evasion. The boy was advised that his mom had the ability to take away his car and any other privileges necessary to maintain discipline in the house.
Ramsey
Indecent Exposure - Someone called police to report that a male paper delivery driver had urinated in the road. An officer searched the area but was unable to locate the suspect.

Disorderly Conduct - A woman called police to report a fight the previous night at Rapids Bar & Grill with an unknown female. She said she received a black eye and was upset that her breast was exposed after one of the bouncers put her in a hold. The police advised her to talk to the bar management.
Disturbing the Peace - Someone sprayed silly string over a mailbox at the end of a driveway.

Child Neglect - Police received a call about a 6-year old alone in a car in the parking lot of Baggan's Pub. The police located the father and arrested him.
Mounds View
Disorderly Conduct - A tow truck driver was trying to tow a vehicle from the trailer park. A man came out and confronted the driver with a shovel and tried to drive the vehicle off the tow truck. The suspect fled.

Drugs - The police received a call about a vehicle that was sitting at a gas pump for over 30 minutes. The occupants, a man and a woman, were both sleeping. The officers located 17 grams of methamphetamine between the front seats. Both were arrested.
Coon Rapids
Disturbing the Peace - The police were called in regards to loud music. Upon arrival, officers saw four young men sitting in a vehicle parked in the driveway with loud, thumping music coming from the car. One of the men explained he had just gotten new speakers and was showing them off to his friends.
Civil Dispute - A woman reported that she borrowed $4,000 from a man while they were at the casino. The man wants his money back and has been coming to her business with an unknown male requesting the $4,000. The woman was advised that this is a civil situation.

A Different Crime Time
If you're into odd crime reports then I suggest you check out this one. It's from Onalaska, Alaska. Where is that? Well if you've ever watched the show "Deadliest Catch" you may remember it's in Port of Dutch Harbor. Well they have quite the amusing crimes there because it's filled with fishermen who often have nothing to do except drink in between going out to sea.
This crime report is much more amusing than the northern suburbs one I regularly post.

Burglary - A resident found a man in his attic. The suspect entered through an unlocked garage door and used a ladder to gain access to the area. The suspect fled and stole a car from the neighbor's house, driving it through the garage door to escape. The vehicle was stopped and the man was arrested.
Ham Lake
Drunken Driving - Someone called police while following a person who had struck several signs. The deputy found the driver in his garage, lying outside his vehicle on the garage floor. The driver was arrested after admitting he was "wasted."

Property Damage - A man called police because someone knocked the head off of the snowman he made this year. He said this happens every year. The police report noted the snowman was made of snow.
Property Damage - Someone knocked a snowman's head off. This was the second time in less than a week.
Centerville
Underage Drinking - Police were dispatched to a home in regards to a loud party with underage drinking. Upon arrival, an officer could hear loud music and shouting coming from inside the home. A juvenile was observed drinking a can of beer. An officer was allowed into the home. Several people fled but were caught. One male stated he was the best hockey player around and he was going to get a scholarship for hockey and this incident was screwing it up for him. Everyone under the age 21 was given a personal breath test. Numerous minor consumption citations were issued.

Disturbing the Peace - The police were called to Outback Steakhouse about a disruptive customer refusing to leave. An officer arrived and spoke to an employee and the suspect. The dispute was over compensation for a wrong food order four weeks ago.
Drunken Driving - An employee at White Castle called to report that a man in a truck had passed out in the drive-through. The man had a personal breath test result of 0.22 blood alcohol percent. He was arrested.

Property Damage: Peanut butter and a green substance was spread over a vehicle.
Drunken Driving: Someone reported a vehicle in the pond. An officer located a woman standing near the vehicle location. She said she was on her way home from Bella after consuming a bottle of wine. She stated she was not sure why she drove into the pond. The officer detected an odor of alcohol, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The portable breath test showed 0.24 percent blood alcohol level and she was unable to stand to do field sobriety tests.
Fridley
Disturbing the Peace: A man called to complain that the neighbor's outside Christmas decorations are playing music all night, which is irritating his wife. Officers arrived and located a large, inflatable Christmas ornament that was playing music that could be heard from across the street. The officer was unable to make contact with the homeowner, so the timer on the decoration was turned off.
Lexington
Theft: A woman called to report her purse was stolen. The woman said the purse was stolen some time between 2 and 3:30 a.m. She said she was drunk and passed out in the hallway of her apartment building. When she woke up her purse was missing.

Assault: A 12-year old girl was arrested for assaulting another 12-year old girl.

Theft: A man was arrested for shoplifting at Rainbow Foods. He stole cheese and syrup worth $7.88.
Coon Rapids
Disturbing the Peace: Someone put plastic wrap around a vehicle. Words also were printed in blue paint. Due to heavy rain, the paint washed away and the words were illegible.
Fridley
Vandalism: Someone put plastic wrap around a vehicle along with half a hot dog on the antenna and two slices of bologna on the hood.
Ramsey
Theft: Someone took a six-point buck deer head from a trailer outside a garage. The owner and his friend were inside the garage processing the deer.

Disorderly Conduct: A woman said a former neighbor keeps hanging around her apartment. She said he parades by her door naked so only she can see him.
Disorderly Conduct: Police officers were dispatched for a man who was walking around naked. Officers located the suspect in the rear of the building. The man was intoxicated and released to his girlfriend.

Theft - A 17-year-old, reported she signed up for a job placement service online. She received an e-mail from a person offering to hire her. Part of the employment involved depositing two $1,500 checks into her account, keeping $300 for compensation and sending back $2,700 by Western Union to Crossville, Tenn. She did and is now told by Wells Fargo the checks are fake and she owes the bank $3,000. She was advised this is a common internet scam and to appeal to Wells Fargo for a deduction in her debt.
Property Damage - Police were called in regard to a political sign that was burned. There were seven other cases of burned signs in the area.
