Bring Back the '80s

Ever wonder what happened to '80s singers like Corey Hart, Huey Lewis and Bananarama? Probably not. But regardless, here's a look at some former '80s stars and what they are up to now.

Who's The Next Idol?

Tonight begins the finals for "American Idol" with three male contestants left. Adam Lambert is probably the favorite, but I'm hoping Kris Allen comes out on top.

Here's a look at the pros and cons for the remaining three.

Grammy Recap

I watched the Grammys last night and let's just say that DVR's have made it so much better to watch award shows. You can skip right thru the crummy performances, the bad acceptance speeches and the hours of commercials.

And I think the older I get the more I see what a joke celebrities are. Why do we care so much about these people? Is someone who sings a rap song really that important to the world? Yet I keep watching, oh well.

Anyways, here is a recap of the night including the odd events that happened.
By the way, Al Gore won a Grammy last night for Best Spoken Word Album for "An Inconvenient Truth." What a joke. Obama and Gore have both won Grammys now. I'm pretty sure if you're a liberal politician and you do something in music you'll win an award.
And here's a list of six ways they can change the Grammys to make them more interesting. I have a couple - get rid of the odd duets and just play music that people have heard of and second, quit giving awards to music that no one has heard of. Last year it was Herbie Hancock. This year - Allison Kraus and Robert Plant. Boring.

The Evil ITunes

I use ITunes and don't have a huge problem with it, but apparently some tech-heads get really annoyed with it. The only thing that really irritates me is how when you get a new computer you can't just plug the IPod in and have all your music transferred (due to copyright laws). You have to manually get all the files from your old computer and put them on the new computer. Big pain in the butt if you're not good with technology!

Anyways, here's a list of reasons that people hate ITunes.

Messiah becomes president and we all get free stuff!! Well actually this has nothing to do with Messiah.

But due to Guns N' Roses actually releasing a CD, Dr. Pepper is giving away free soda!

Welcome to the Jungle

For years there's been rumors of Guns N' Roses releasing a new album called "The Chinese Democracy." Well after many rumored release dates the time has finely come. It will be released on November 23rd.

But does anyone really care anymore?

What A Cute Couple

Liberal rockers Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel are teaming up for a concert to benefit The Messiah. How sweet.

It will cost between $500 and $10,000 for a ticket. But remember, The Messiah represents and understands what the average American is going thru. He doesn't represent the rich!!

Hopefully another concert with rich Hollywood liberals will backfire on him.

Super Bowl Entertainment

And your Super Bowl halftime performer is ................ Bruce Springsteen. Well, they are definitely keeping the tradition going of having older rockers.

I like his music, just can't stand him and his loud-mouth politics. Although it will be hilarious to see him on stage if McCain is the president, he'll be pissed!

Pop or Country

Jessica Simpson had her first country music concert this past weekend in Wisconsin and apparently the crowd wasn't that into it.

Although maybe the jeers had to do with Tony Romo being there. He is the enemy to Packer fans.

She's Gone Country

Jessica Simpson has released her country album and while most people expected it to be awful, country fans seem to be liking her first single "Come On Over." It's in the top 30 and is being played on most country radio stations.

I heard the song and it's really not that bad. I didn't even know it was her until the song was over.

Will this make her relevant in music again or is her career done?
