I'm always confused as to how any internet sites make money. I get that it's off advertising, but how much can they possibly get off that??

Anyways, here's an article that says YouTube (which is owned by Google) is on pace to lose $470 million this year! Was it really worth it for Google to purchase YouTube??

The Internet Is Watching

Wow, the things you can find on the internet.

If you're bored check out this site called cheddarvision.tv, which shows some cheddar cheese that is aging over the course of a year. It even has a timer to show how old it is. Pure excitement!!

You've heard the expression "watching paint dry." Well now you can do it right here. You can even watch paint peel at this site. Again, pure excitement!

This one's sort of funny. You know how they always say that major topics are discussed at the "water cooler." Well this office set up a webcam at the water cooler in their office. And it's not as exciting as you would think! I kept it on for about five minutes and no one came in. Sort of like my office, no one gathers around the water cooler. Does this really happen at any office?

Napoleon Dynamite would be a fan of this site. It's a webcam looking for the Loch Ness Monster in Scotland. I haven't seen anything yet!

And if you thought living in Minnesota was bleak and dreary during winter time, check out what it would be like to live in the Antartic research outpost. It's a webcam of the research center and it sure looks cold! It actually looks like the Rebels base on Hoth in "The Empire Strikes Back." Okay, that was a major Star Wars nerd reference there, but it really does!
