Crime Report

The weekly northern suburbs crime report, courtesy of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Blaine

Suspicious Activity - While on routine patrol, an officer observed a man standing on bleacher seats, urinating, at Cloverleaf Park. The officer made contact with the man and discovered he had been drinking. The man admitted to drinking six beers. He was cited for alcohol consumption and released.

Fridley

Drugs - Management of an apartment complex reported a marijuana plant growing in a pot. Police confiscated and destroyed the plant. Ownership is unknown.

Property Damage - An officer was dispatched for a damage-to-property report. The caller stated that a male solicitor stepped on her steel downspout when she refused to buy any window cleaner.

Public Peace - An officer was dispatched on a report of a male yelling in a backyard. The male stated that he was upset that his brother left him alone to do tree trimming by himself. He said that he would not yell anymore.

Ramsey

Property Damage - The webbing on a lawn chair had been cut and organs from a small animal were placed in a bird bath.

St. Anthony

Trespassing - At 1:55 am, officers observed a vehicle leaving the parking lot of a closed business, Clover Foods. Due to recent trespassing complaints at this location, the vehicle was stopped. The driver was a 20-year-old man. When questioned, the driver said he entered the fenced-in area and took some juice out of the dumpster. The driver was arrested and released with a citation for trespassing.
