Stem Cell Research I can get on board with…

Andras Nagy and a team of researchers have discovered a way produce stem cells using a adult skin cells.  It’s a very complex process which is described in this Washington Post article.

I’ve read some blogs and other takes that paint conservatives as against stem cell research all together.  That illustration could not be further from the truth.  If breakthroughs can be discovered through stem cells, then I am all for it.  What I oppose is the harvesting of human embryos to achieve these advances.  If we as a people decide that stem cells are essential to cure disease, then I believe this is the avenue we should travel.  The insistence that embryonic stem cells are the only way without even the investigation of the adult stem cell avenue smacks of political and not scientific basis for this medical advance.

I agree, and liberals conveniently ignore the fact that embryonic stem cell research was never illegal. If they wanted it so bad, and there was SO much hope, why hasn't Soros funded this? Maybe, just maybe, there's no money in it?
