He Can't Win

The Republican party continues to piss me off. This time it was at the CPAC Convention this past week. CPAC is the Conservative Political Action Committee. They hold a straw poll on presidential candidates.

The winner this year? Mitt Romney. Seriously Republicans, you have to move on and pick a candidate who can actually win! If Romney was a good candidate he would have won in 2008!!! Pick someone new and get behind that person.

Do they fail to see why Barack Obama became president? 4 years ago after he gave his speech at the Democrat convention the Democrat party took notice and put him on the fast track to the presidency. They told him what to do and when to do it and started defining his image.

Republicans are so clueless about how to roll out a candidate. Pick someone like Palin or Jindal or Pawlenty and get behind them now and start profiling them and introducing them to Americans. Romney had his chance and didn't appeal to anyone.

But this is what the stupid party does, they keep going back to old washed up candidates. And this crap with not liking candidates like Pawlenty just because he supports some "green" projects is ridiculous. If you want to win you need to appeal to independents, not just conservatives. Pawlenty is pretty conservative on fiscal issues and social issues. But no, we'll stick with Romney and Mike Huckabee.
