Oscar Picks

I'm not sure what way Oscar voters will go this year. Usually when you have a politically themed movie like "Milk" in the running you are guaranteed that it will sweep up the awards so that Hollywood can push their liberal agenda down your throat. And especially this year in California since that Prob 8 was voted down thereby pushing "Milk" to the top due to it's story about a gay politician.

However, now that Hollywood has got their liberal Messiah into the White House and stuffed Congress with bleeding heart liberals who will carry out their liberal agendas they might not feel the need to push their message as much as to reward deserving films and roles. So with that said, here are my picks:

Best Picture: "Slumdog Millionaire." But, I wouldn't be shocked at all if "Milk" won this.

Best Actor: Sean Penn. This is the category they reward "Milk" and it's message and punish Californians who dared to vote against gay marriage. Mickey Rourke should win, but will finish second due to Hollywood wanting to send a message.

Best Actress: Kate Winslet. Meryl Streep is the runner-up.

Best Supporting Actor: Heath Ledger. If he doesn't win they should quit giving out awards. I don't even know who the runner-up is, Josh Brolin maybe?

Best Supporting Actress: This one is up in the air, but I'll guess Penelope Cruz. Viola Davis is the runner-up.

Animated Feature Film: Hmmmm, "Wall-E" maybe?

Documentary: I'll go with "Encounters At the End of the World" only because I'm pretty sure this is the movie made by Robert Redford and it's a big "the world is coming to an end because of climate change" movie.
