It's been a while, but here's the northern suburbs crime report, courtesy of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Blaine
Disorderly Conduct: An officer observed a vehicle pulled over. The back passenger door was open, and there was a man going to the bathroom by the trunk. The suspect was cited for disorderly conduct.
Fraud: A man reported that he was contacted by phone and told that he had won $8 million. He was told that he needed to send a fee to the caller prior to obtaining his winnings. The man sent $7,011 by Western Union before he realized it was a scam.
Coon Rapids
Theft: A taxi driver reported that two males had failed to pay a $60 fare and had run inside a home. An officer knocked on the front door, and the homeowner answered and led the officer to a back bedroom where the two suspects were pretending to sleep.
