Thankfully (and much to the chagrin of the media) the New York Yankees were officially eliminated from the playoffs this week. We can all now enjoy a Yankee free playoffs for the first time in years.
We won't have to hear about the mystique of Yankee Stadium (especially with this being the last year), we won't have to hear about how Mariano Rivera is warming up in the 8th inning and then see his postseason stats, we won't have to celebrate every play Derek Jeter makes, we won't have to suffer thru 4 hour games, we won't have to hear the 15 minute "God Bless America" NY version in the 7th inning (nothing against the song, but the Yankees strech it out way too far) and finally we won't have to hear about all the Yankee legends who have played before this time. Not this year!!!!!!
But since it's the Yankees the media now has to analyze why they didn't make it. I'm guessing they aren't doing this for the other 21 teams in baseball that didn't make the postseason. But since I'm enjoying it sooo much, I'll post the article for us all to enjoy. Hopefully it's many years before we have to see Jeter and A-Rod on our screens in October again.

Wow. You must be a cubs fan. Only a jealous idiot who roots for a team that hasn't won a title in over a century can write something like this. Seriously, become a fucking white sox fan and spare yourself dipshit! I can't believe the cubs haven't relocated to a different city yet. But then again, all the fans are too stupid to give up on them. Real nice! Enjoy another century of blowing it!
