Apparently The Messiah didn't have time to visit U.S. troops in Germany after his "I'm the leader of the World" speech. But he did have time to sneak in a workout at the Ritz. His campaign said it wasn't appropriate to use campaign funds to visit troops.
But I guess it was important to use the funds to campaign for President of the World.
What the hell is he doing giving speeches to other countries like he's the President already? The sense of entitlement this guy has is unbelievable. And it's not just Republicans pointing this out, many Democrats (mostly Hillary supporters) are saying the same thing. That speech he gave yesterday was one of the most egotistical things I have ever seen in politics. Where is he running for President - the U.S. or Europe?
Who gives a crap that 200,000 Germans showed up to hear him speak. Are they voting for him? No, Americans are voting. And if Americans listened to any of the speech they'd see it was once again filled with nothing but metaphors, there was no substance at all to the speech. He has yet to state his positions on anything! Instead he talks about "tearing down walls" and "stopping the rise of oceans" yet he's never said how he's going to do it! But everyone cheers madly!!!!!
CHANGE IS COMING! YES WE CAN!!!!
I think this trip is going to backfire on The Messiah. Polls are already showing that McCain is within a couple points of The Messiah and he's overtaken him in Colorado and is tied in Minnesota. Point of reference - 4 years ago Bush was trailing Kerry by 2 points at this exact time!
Laura Ingraham:
OBAMA DITCHES TROOPS, WORKS OUT INSTEAD: "Barack Obama will not be coming to us," a spokesperson for the US military hospital in Landstuhl announced. "I don't know why." Well, Barack Obama clearly has his priorities in the right place during his time in Germany. A planned visit with wounded U.S. troops at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center was abruptly canceled today, but "citizen of the world" Obama still managed to squeeze in a workout at (where else?) the Ritz Carlton in Berlin. The campaign's pathetic excuse for the change? Obama adviser Robert Gibbs tried to spin the situation faster than Barack Obama on his elliptical machine, claiming it "would be inappropriate to make a stop to visit troops at a U.S. military facility as part of a trip funded by the campaign." Wow, how ethical of him.
