Well, if the National Enquirer is telling the truth John Edwards' political career is done. They claim they spotted him at a hotel meeting up with a woman rumored to be his mistress. Oh, and she's also the mother of his baby!

I'm guessing this takes him off the VP list for The Messiah. Although since he's a Democrat all he has to do is have a press conference where he cries his eyes out and apologizes and all will be forgiven. Oh, maybe enter rehab or something.
