We Feel Your Pain

There was a quote in an article about the Wisconsin primary today that just cracked me up. It's Michelle Obama talking to Democrats in Wisconsin at a dinner:

"I just want to keep talking to folks on the ground," Obama told a hand-picked group of working mothers who she said were on the wrong side of the gap between "the lucky few and ordinary people ..... Barack and I are still close to the realities you face."

Ha!!!!!!!! The Obamas are on the "wrong side of the gap" and are dealing with the same issues that lower income people face in this country??

Let's see ............
Barack attended boarding school in Hawaii;
Barack and Michelle are Harvard and Princeton educated lawyers;
Obama worked as a corporate lawyer (Attention all Democrats that hate evil corporations - your candidate defended them for a living up until he entered the Senate!);
Michelle worked as a lawyer for a large pharmaceutical company (again - Democrats who hate evil medical companies!!!);
Their combined incomes before dropping both jobs to run for president were over $1 million per year;
Their children attend private schools.

Now Michelle, please explain to me what "realities" you and Barack face on a daily basis that are so in common with lower income people? Are you struggling to find a job? Are you having trouble making the rent payment? Are your kids having trouble learning at Chicago's inner city schools? Are you having trouble paying back student loans at those ivy law schools you attended?

"The lucky few?" I'm sick of the rich in this country being ripped apart for being sucessful. Instead of being "lucky" maybe it's called hard-work, dedication, ambition, not settling for anything, being smart, learning, having a drive to suceed, overcoming obstacles, etc. I'm not ripping apart Barack and Obama for being rich, they should be embracing their sucess and showing others their example of how they got to where they are (John Edwards did the same thing).

Instead they feed people these lines about how they identify with average people and how they feel their pain and what not. No you don't, you have no financial worries in the world. If you did Michelle wouldn't have quit her job to help her husband run for president and her kids sure as hell wouldn't be going to private school. And how are far-left Democrats embracing a guy who was a corporate lawyer??? They hate corporations (umm, does Haliburton come to mind??)!!! Hypocritical, that's what it is.

And what's amazing is how many people are buying into Obama's crap without looking into this guy at all. Have any media outlets reported on his life and what he's done? Have they picked apart the issues and his views on them? Nope, I still don't know much about what he believes in. So far his tactic is to bash Hillary without really saying what he'll do. And you know what, it's working pretty good.

But will it work when he faces McCain and the media has to actually start doing their job?
