Hollywood is shocked that their anti-war films such as "Lions for Lambs" and "Redacted" have bombed at the box office and they are worried that future anti-war films will bomb as well. Hollywood's reasoning - the films are dull and people don't want to watch Iraq war films when the real war is ongoing.
I have another reason - mainstream America doesn't want to watch liberal Hollywood filmmakers shoving their anti-American propoganda down their throats. That and they don't care for films that make out America to be the enemy and terrorists to be sympathetic.
Make a film like "Saving Private Ryan" or "Flags of our Fathers" and people will go.
