Crime Time

Here is the weekly northern suburbs crime report, courtesy of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Blaine

Theft - A man in Blaine reported that he had a Dell laptop shipped to his house by DHL, but he never received it. The man contacted DHL, who told him the computer was delivered and signed for. The man said the signature isn't his and isn't his full name. The man said he spoke to the DHL delivery driver and, when questioned about the delivery, the man became nervous and said he didn't recall making the delivery. Police attempted to contact the driver at DHL and left messages, but haven't received a call back.

Threat - A man reported that while playing Xbox on Xbox LIVE, an unknown man threatened to go to his house and kill him. The man said the unknown man could possibly be from Pakistan, because Xbox LIVE is an international internet gaming system and that's where the people were from that the man was playing.

Crystal

Shoplifting - A 56-year-old Robbinsdale woman was arrested for shoplifting a bottle of antidiarrheal medication, value $3, from a store.

Fridley

Theft - A man reported that someone took a gray Sony cassette player from his 1984 Mercedes Benz, value $250.

Shoplifting - A woman was cited for theft for shoplifting $56.73 worth of steaks from Cub Foods. She was also banned from Cub Foods for one year.
