I'm not convinced that this is as urgent as you think. If Fred Thompson(I'm not saying I'm sold on him, yet) turns it on in the next 2-4 months, he could be what we're looking for. If Fred doesn't shine by Feb, then we need to jump with Giulianni. We've got a couple months, though.
I agree, and Rudy has written off Iowa and New Hampshire so the primaries for him don't kick off until February.
But the longer Republicans fight with each other, the more progress Hillary can make shoring up the independent vote.
