Britney Spears probably shouldn't have showed up at the MTV Video Music Awards last night because she is getting ripped on badly today!

Britney opened the show with a performance of a new song off her upcoming CD and let's just say that things didn't go well.

She looked bleary, out of place, she couldn't lip sync and she barely had any clothes on. Not a good night for Britney and probably not a good sign of her CD's future potential.

By the way, the award show itself is also getting ripped on for it's "VIP" performances. I sort of liked it because it was different, but what do I know.
