President Bush's poll numbers have gone up for two months in a row. He's now standing at 34%. Ya, 34% is nothing to be proud of. But the fact it's rising is a good sign for him. Also, poll results are showing that Americans believe the surge in Iraq is working.
I still believe that by the time Bush's term is over, his rating will be in the 40s. The reason it's going up lately is that he's staying out of the way and letting Congress implode on themselves. He's also quietly getting some bills passed and not going out of his way to make a huge deal about it. Iraq is still not great, but it's been somewhat quiet over there lately which is another sign the surge might be working.
