The Lovable Losers

The new owner of the Chicago Cubs could be Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. He submitted an application to own the team. He's up against quite a few other billionaires.

I'm all for it! I think he's bring some excitement to the team and inject some power from the owner's booth, which has been lacking in this team. If you don't have a commitment from up above then you don't stand a chance and the Tribune Company (the current owners) doesn't seem to care what happens with the team as long as they sell out games.

But to whomever owns the team - please, please, please build up the minor league system. You have nothing down there and it's going to haunt this team very shortly.
