Crime Time

After a break, the northern suburbs crime report is back. Thank you Star Tribune.

Andover

Theft - Somebody stole a remote-controlled car from a pickup at Andover Lanes. (Poor kid!)

Anoka County

Disorderly Conduct - A caller reported that her husband, while refereeing a soccer match, had been harassed by two people who were upset about his officiating. Police stood by and monitored the rest of the game.

Coon Rapids

Vandalism - Somebody dumped mustard, yougurt and soup onto a vehicle. (Interesting combination)

Fire - Police received a report that a vehicle was on fire and that it's driver was trying to retrieve two cases of beer from the burning vehicle. When police arrived, the man, described as "obviously intoxicated," began yelling at officers. He was arrested and continually kicked at police, who used a Taser to subdue him. (Get the beer!!!)

Disturbance - A man was arrested for disorderly conduct after a report that he was yelling that he hated the world.

Crystal

Suspicious Activity - A grenade was found in a garage.

Falcon Heights

Burglary - A caller said she saw a woman trying to open the doors of two houses. Police found the woman, who told them that she tried to get into the houses because she wanted to use the bathroom. She was arrested for attempted burglary.

Fridley

Theft - A resident put a birthday card containing $50 in her outgoing mail. Before a mail carrier picked it up, somebody opened the envelope, took the cash and taped the envelope shut.
