Coon Rapids
Assault - A man and his son reported that someone drove a pickup truck across their lawn then came back a few moments later, and the passenger got out and started swinging a club at the residents. He missed them, but he smashed a flowerpot in the process. The truck and its occupants were gone when police arrived, but the son identified the assailant as an acquaintance who was likely upset because the son did not want to hang out with him. Police were unable to immediately locate the suspects, but they mailed a citation for assault and property damage to the suspected attacker. (Nice friend!)
Threats - A caller reported that a man called him and threatened to come over and beat up him and his mother. (Huh???)
Disorderly Conduct - Two pairs of golfers got into a confrontation at Bunker Hills Golf Course. A member of one group told the group ahead of them to hurry up or let them play through, and a member of the group in front became aggressive and charged at him. Alcohol appeared to be involved, police said. (Alcohol? On a golf course?)

Fleeing Police - A man was charged with fleeing police on a bicycle after he stole a Hustler magazine from Super Stop. The man was jailed and his bike was impounded. (This guy was so desperate for porn that he had to spend the night in jail and lose his bike!)
