Scary Cartoons

Yesterday in Boston there was a security scare when advertisements featuring a cartoon character were mistaken for bombs. The city practically shutdown as bomb squads moved in to remove the objects.
Turns out it was an ad for a show on the Cartoon Network and they had also had these pieces up in other cities around the country.
The City of Boston is not threatning to sue Turner Networks for reimbursement of the costs to handle the situation.

What's ironic is that the show the objects were promoting will probably get more publicity out of this than it did previously for these objects they put out.
