Playing the Name Game

Looks like Cameron's Avatar movie (cub fan posted on this the other day) isn't the only Avatar movie being made. M. Night Shyamalan is planning to write, direct, and produce an Avatar movie (maybe three) based on the Nick Toons show Avatar: The Last Airbender. The only news here is in the names. Two movies named Avatar...great.

In other news. A remake to The Birds is going ahead as planned. The remake will take a different approach (don't all directors claim this about a remake??) and my insiders are telling me that Naomi Watts is being considered for the lead role. I'll put my money on her being picked.

Other remake news includes a remake of Halloween (not a sequel, but a different approach to the original), The Incredible Hulk will not have Prison Break's Dominic Purcell as the lead. Here are some sequels you may not know about: Jurassic Park IV, Another Friday the 13th, Indiana Jones 4, Saw 4, Tomb Raider 3, Its a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, MAD, World, and Borat

The last time they remade an Alfred Hitchcock movie, "Psycho," it was horrible. I'm guessing the same will happen here.

Who are your "sources?"
